Prada Wallpaper

This project was to design a wallpaper for Prada's head office.  Prada is a brand which is recognised globally and is related to high end retailing. I wanted to create a wallpaper which engage the public’s imagination and also bring a cultural side to the art work. The wallpaper I created is to symbolise the environment where culture and architecture was brought into one as well as connecting the whole world. I did this by re imagining iconic world structures and creating a utopia where it is self-sustainable, environmentally friendly by using wood and sand buildings. The famous landmarks in the woodland utopia are the Statue of Liberty, Petronas Towers and the Sydney Opera House. I had re designed them too look like houses made out of wood which are interlinked through telephone cables to symbolise collaboration in the Utopia. The landmarks in the desert utopia are the Atomium building, Taj Mahal and the Leaning Tower of Pisa. The concept behind that they are all planted in pots is so the audience can symbolise it as they are growing together in the utopia paradise. The concept of the Utopian paradise I created is to give Prada a new look and feel which will let the viewers imagination flow and symbolise the fact that we are all working together to grow as one.
